Helle: Handmade Bushcraft Knives
Nearly one hundred years before the “maker” subculture, two brothers began crafting handmade knives in a small village set upon a glacier-carved fjord in rural Norway. They took pride in their craft and the idea that the subtle differences among their hand forged knives made each one a unique masterpiece.
Helle has endured since their humble beginnings and today thrives as a family-run operation known worldwide for crafting handmade knives of the highest quality and durability. Still operating from their original location, they continue to do everything with human hands – it's their prideful heritage – and this commitment to craftsmanship is what creates the rich experience people have come to love about Helle knives.
Handles are crafted from beautiful woods like curly grained birch and natural materials like leather and stag horn, then shaped to maximize blade function while fitting comfortably in your hand. Triple laminated stainless steel (18/8) adds to the superb quality of Helle’s handcrafted blades, protecting against breakage and corrosion while providing a high performance cutting edge. Sheaths are made from tanned leather then treated with saddle grease to maximize fit and increase durability.
Whether it’s a hunting knife, multi-use field knife, fillet knife or the most beautiful survival pocket knife in the world – modern day adventurers and bushcraft enthusiasts can count on Helle for handmade knives of the highest quality.
